Importance of Keywords in Manuscripts

Faculty of Education conducted the Benjamin Bloom Journal Club Meeting-007 on 10th November, 2022 through blended mode. The meeting started with a note of welcome by Dr.P.Senthamizh Pavai, Assistant Professor, Faculty of Education, Dr.M.G.R. Educational and Research Institute. This was followed by a presentation and discussion on the “Importance of Keywords in Manuscripts” by the resource person for the day, Dr.C.Andal, Associate Professor, Dept. of Physics, Dr.M.G.R. Educational and Research Institute. The forum was open for a fruitful discussion on the pros and cons of choosing the right keywords. The resource person explained how the right keywords will help the reader to know about the content of the manuscript as well as the right articles they need. The right keywords also help the author to get a good citation, H-index. It is essential to give 3-4 right keywords which may be single or many words with simple and crisp meanings that will benefit both the reader and the author. The meeting concluded with vote of thanks. The meeting proved to be a productive one, with more insights and contributions in the area of research. The Faculty of Education is pleased to express its gratitude to our Honourable President for the opportunity to organize the event that enkindles the minds of the learning fraternity.
