The design faculty of 3rd year B. Arch course organized a case study visit to Golden Oppulence Homes for the students of the same corresponding to their design project, Apartment Design, as a part of their second project of their design studio. The Case study was guided by their Chef Engineer, Dhanasekar. The supervisor explained every aspect of design and building services involved in Apartment design to the students.
The session was very interactive as he took the students to every part of the Apartment and explained every feature of the apartments. He gave a guided tour to model apartments of 2 bhk, 3 bhk and 4 bhk units, along with a tour to the clubhouse and its related amenities. He also gave students tips on how to design a Apartment, and what to pay attention to while designing. He encouraged the students to ask questions directly as he was explaining, thereby having a lively interactive Q&A session in every space visited in the apartments. The students were also able to explore the different parts of the site and gain knowledge on the different kinds of site features and services present there.
The overall feedback of the students was overwhelmingly positive, and the students gained a fresh perspective not only on the different aspects of planning involved in the design of the Apartment, but also on the how to take an integrated approach to the design involving the different services involved in the functioning of a full functional and efficient Apartment design.
