An insightful session was conducted by Mr. Sunil Gladson titled “New Dimensions of IP and Its Impact on Technological Development” on 17 October 2022. The major focus of the session was to deliver the importance of Intellectual Property in the current age, and its impact upon technology.
The esteemed speaker was given a commendable welcome, addressed by Asst. Prof. Nizar Ahamad while the Honorable Dean sir, felicitated Mr. Sunil Gladson with a momento. After the introduction of the guest speaker, the event commenced in full force.
The able speaker first provided a brief upon the Intellectual Property laws that are being put under practice at present in India. He later ventured to delve on the importance of technology and how the Supreme Court recognized the development of biotechnology in “Diamond vs. Chakravarthy” case.
Prof. Sunil Gladson ensured to provide students with the current updates in the field of Intellectual Property and other similar fields which are highly in demand in the recent past. Fields related to technology, which are regarded to be the most in demand topic is also one of the most interesting topic for the present generation. The Honorable speaker was able to put across the scopes in the field of Intellectual Property Rights and Technological advancement and how venturing into the field of Artificial intelligence will provide the young ignited minds of a budding lawyer with ample opportunities to show case their talents and skill.
The event was concluded by presenting a book of honor to the speaker by Asst. Prof. Yuganandhini and the final rendition of National Anthem.
The two hours long event indeed provided the audience with a very new perspective on the fields and opportunities of Intellectual Property and Technology in the current age.
