The Department of Civil Engineering, Dr.M.G.R Educational and Research Institute organized the Alumni Lecture on “Basalt Retrofitting” on 12th September 2022 between 10:30 to 11:30 AM for the Second Year B.Tech Civil Engineering students.
Dr.T.Kavitha HoD-Civil Engg delivered the welcome address. Ms.Pavithra, II Year Civil, introduced the speaker to the participants.
The Speaker of this session Mr. Akshay K Uday, Alumni 2015 passed out Currently pursing Phd, in Dr.M.G.R Educational and Research Institute, gave an insight about Ancient Civil Engineering Buidlings and then started briefing about Basalt Retrofitting.
The Alumni speaker show cased the material and also a cylinder Specimen wrapped with basalt fiber reinforced polymer which grasped the attention of students and motivated them to start their new research work.
Today’s Program was organized and conducted by Mrs.A.Hemamalinie, Asst.Professor & (Civil Engg).
The program was concluded with vote of thanks given by Ms. Divya, II Year B.Tech Student.
