Department of Chemistry’s Day – 3 Report

Today the students reported in the lab and they were issued their ID cards . They were also issued one time registration form and after that they received the UMT – METRIC CARD. By using this card they can get access and enter into any part of the UMT campus which is around 1800 acres only by QR code. The students were asked to submit COSHH ( Control of substances hazardous to health) and risk assessment form. This form contains the name of the material, Hazardous statements, Precaution statements Toxicology information, Level of exposure, Severity, Accidental release measures, First aid measures, Fire fighting means etc. They went to beach to collect samples from beach side. Atlast they were given an outline about the ways and steps to proceed for one month.
