The interior design faculty of 3rd yr B.Arch course organized a guest lecture for the students of the same corresponding to their subject, Interior Design. The Guest Lecture was conducted by Ar. Vaishali Jha, Assistant Professor at Bangalore School of Design, on “Elements of Interior Design – LIGHTING IN INTERIOR DESIGN”. The lecturer is well versed in the firld of Interior Design, having completed her Masters in Interior Architecture, and currently practicing in the file of both architecture and interior design, as well as teaching profession.
Ar. Vaishali Jha gave a brief lecture on the scope of Lighting Design in Interior Architecture, delving into the details of the importance of Lighting Design in Interiors, and the different kinds of lighting techniques and fixtures used.
The session was very interactive as she took a very friendly and amicable approach with the students, going beyond the scope of her topic, to give students tips on how to pay attention to lighting in not only interiors, but also in terms of architecture, and had a Q&A session at the end where she answered the students on different ways of including lighting in their design project.
The overall feedback of the students was positive, and the students gained a fresh perspective not only on Lighting in Interior Design, but also on different subjects related to the industry of Interior Architecture.
