Faculty of Education is happy to share the report of Women’s Day celebration held on 8th March 2022 at 10.30a.m. “The most alluring thing a woman can do is confidence”, the second years from the Faculty of Education organised the celebration with various programs and games. The celebration started with the singing of ‘Tamizh Thai Vazthu’ followed by welcome address and inaugural speech given by our eminent guest speaker and a powerful woman Dr. Radhika, Addl. Registrar, Faculty of Architecture, Phase 2 Campus. Her speech was a push to our souls as woman and made us all fell proud to be born as a woman. She even stated the fact that women are no longer under the guidance of men rather strong and independent. Special address by Dr. Geetha, Principal, Faculty of Education motivated us to balance the professional and personal work by ignoring the odds and to face the world boldly.
Various programs such as group dance, speech and solo singing added the celebration with zeal. Ms. Vasundhara sang three different songs for three types of women, which was enjoyable and this was followed by a speech given by Ms. Tarika which insisted the idea of “never to give up”. Mr. Anil Verma engaged the audience through his mesmerizing singing followed by an energetic Tamil speech by Ms. Monisha. The celebration then moved to the most awaited part, the game “Nanbenda”, which was real fun to play and watch. At the end, the first years were given a chance to speak and to sing. Badri gave a speech and R. Jaffrin for solo singing. The whole celebration came to an end after National Anthem. The celebration helped the students to develop organising skills and the skill of participation.
