The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering in Association with IEEE MGR Student Chapter conducted an Interdisciplinary Lecture on “Modifiable Risk Factors For Coronary Artery Disease” for Students on 18th February 2022. The Speaker of the session was Dr.HEMA.V.H, Professor / Principal Faculty of Nursing A.C.S Medical college & Hospital Chennai. The lecture was held via Google Meet platform and more than 75 students participated. The session commenced around 11.00 A.M.
The Speaker was introduced by Ms.Monisha III BMI.The Host of the session was Ms.Suwetha IV EIE Student Coordinator. The speaker explained about Epidemiological Transition.,How to avoid caronery artery disease(CAD) for Adult children.
She discussed about difference between HDL vs LDL. Finally, She concluded the lecture by insisting to do the exercise and walking also avoid the junk food.
The session concluded with Q & A session. The session was very interactive and informative for the students.
