It’s been a pleasure to share the report of the second day short term course on ‘Curriculum Design and Development’. The second session on 15.02.2022 with 378 participant was hosted by Prof. A. Muthumanickam, Syndicate member, TNOU, former Registrar i/c, former Dean, Arts, former Professor and Head, Department of Education, Madurai Kamaraj University on the topic ‘Curriculum Design and Strategies’. The session began after a congenial welcome. The guest started his presentation stating that problems are everywhere and teaching is the only tool in the hands of teacher to mould the students according to their needs and interest. The guest detailed on the three phases of Curriculum, Development phase, Implement phase and Evaluation phase and insisted on the curriculum which has to be designed based on the level of the learners and elaborated the methods of teaching learning. The following methods were delivered in detail: Suggestive method, Self Independent learning, Blended learning Flipped classroom, Problem based learning, Work-based learning, MOOC Online course, M- learning, Student- led learning and validation of learning package should be on the gain ratio and briefed the design of the Curriculum. The session came to an end with the vote of thanks.
