The Department of Information Technology conducted a guest lecture for all the students on February 7th, 2022 between 2 p.m to 4 p.m. The lecture was given by Ms. U. Surya, Assistant Professor, Department of IT on the topic “Networks Modelling and Simulation”. The session was streamed online through YouTube.
The session started with an introduction by Ms. Charumathi, III Yr. This was followed by a formal welcome address by Prof. Dr. N. Kanya, HOD-IT. The resource person Ms. U. Surya was introduced and the session was handed over to her.
Ms. Surya gave a broad idea about the different types of network simulators and its importance. She also demonstrated how simulations are very reliable and cost effective in assessing how the different networks would behave in certain scenarios.
She also answered the queries posted by the students. To end the event, Ms. Tharani, III Yr delivered the vote of thanks. The webinar was attended by all the department students and they were highly benefited. We thank our honourable President Er. ACS . Arun Kumar for his continuous support in conducting this.
