Report on Dr MGR – Hiyoshi Japanese Endowed Course (JEC): Day 2 : Session 1 (09.00 am to 10.00 am)Program was hosted by Dr.R.Kowsalya – Dean OIR & Collaboration Cell, Dr.MGR Educational and Research Institute. Participants includes four instructors and ten students of the JEC. Session 1 was handled by Ms V.Priyadarshini, Assitant Professor, Department of Civil Engineering,Dr MGR Univetsity on India’s Environmental problems (water quality, air quality, waste, sanitation, etc.) and the current situation. The lecture inturn include relationships with the economy and business activities and Current state of the Indian environment virtually.

Report on Dr MGR – Hiyoshi Japanese Endowed Course (JEC): Day 2- Session 2 (10.00 – 11. 00am):
The session was handled by Mrs Francis Panimathy Assistant professor, Department of Chemical Engineering, Dr MGR University. The lecture includes India’s Environmental Laws and regulations, specifically applicable to companies (concerning laws and standards
related to air and solid waste)

Report on Dr MGR – Hiyoshi Japanese Endowed Course (JEC): Day 2(11.11.21) – Session 3 (11.15 – 12.15pm)
In session 3, Mrs.Mrs.P. Gomathi Nagajothi handled India’s environmental law and Laws and regulations (Basic Environment Law, Water Quality Law, Standards (MOEFCC, CPCB, SPCB environmental and wastewater standards), CTEs, and CTOs) that apply to companies in particular.

(11.11.21) – Session 4** (12.15pm– 1.15pm)
In session 4 *Mr Naohiro Tsukiyama ,Hiyoshi Corporation, Japan explained about Trends in the international environment. Examples of environmental measures required for global companies (SDGs, Paris Agreement, POPS, EGS-related investments, etc.) The session was explained in Japanese language which was translated in English for the benefit of our students by Mr. Sundaram.
