Faculty of Education is pleased to share the first day report of Voltage 21 – 4 th edn – International online conference (IOC- 2021) on ‘Enhancing Human Potential- Psychological Insights’
The inaugural session of IOC on 7 th October 2021 started at 10.30am.
With the pleasure of gratitude Ms. J. Vigneshwari, introduced the chief guest Dr. Sekar Kasi, Technical Consultant, Centre for Psycho Social Support in Disaster Management, NIMHANS, Bangalore. It was a great honour to have such an eminent person as our chief guest who elaborated on Psychological Insights. He explained about TAB which is positive thought, action and behaviour that leads us optimistically. His brief awareness about cyber bullying and addiction to social media and online games were thoughtful and concluded his speech by motivating the young minds that will lead India to a vibrant path . The guest released the virtual conference proceedings. Prof. Radhika , Addl. Registrar, Dr MGR ERI joined us for the felicitation address .
Ms. L. Maria Suganthi welcomed the chief guest Dr. Baby Shari, Professor, Dept of Psychology, Calicult University, Kerala to the plenary session of day 1. Dr. Baby Shari was innovative and made us understand the concept of social change and the role of a teacher as a social catalyst with her illustrations. she was very specific about culture and the changing society and also incorporated equality .
The plenary session was concluded by Ms. Thangam by proposing vote of thanks to all the invited guests, delegates and participants for supporting us in all our endeavors .
The IOC 2021 paper presentation, technical session was resumed at 2:15pm, there were two parallel session. First was started by Dr. P. Senthamizh Pavai and introduced the Chairperson Dr. M. Vijay, Head, Department of Psychology, Holy Cross College, Trichy. With his positive motivation and inspiring words 17 participants started presenting their research papers.
The second parallel session Dr. V. Anuradha, introduced the chair person , Dr. R. Jayam , HOD, Dept. of HRM. She shared a few words about the online conference and also encouraged the participants to actively participate and present their research papers. 14 research papers were presented.
We thank our honorable President for encouraging and motivating us in all our endeavor. We are always grateful to all the executives who earnestly render their continuous support throughout the programme.
