The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering conducted the 18th National level technical symposium Kalam’21 entitled QUANTRA from 5th to 6th October
The inauguration of the symposium commenced on 5th October at 10 am with tamil thai vazhthu followed by the welcome address from Head of the department Mrs U.Jayalatsumi. The Presidential address was delivered by our respected Vice Chancellor madam. Dr.S. Geethalakshmi. The keynote address was presented by Additional Registrar (Admin) Dr.V Cyril Raj who emphasized the vision of Kalam’21. The brief overview of Kalam was shared by the Student secretary Mr.Vigneswaran. The Chief Guest of the event Mr.K.K Naveen, Service manager, IBM was introduced by deputy head Dr. K.Sudhaman. The inaugural address was delivered by the Chief Guest who highlighted the significance of the various emerging technologies and declared the event open
 Seven events Paper presentation, Tech debate, Ellucidation, Technology, Tech-CID, Connections and Simul wizard were conducted in the span of two days.
The two day symposium witnessed nearly 300 enthusiastic participants from various departments and universities across India.
The symposium concluded with the valedictory function on 6th October at 3pm. The Guest speaker for the valedictory was our proud alumni Mr.K.V Santharam Director, Endosys technologies who was introduced by Dr. B.Raja Associate Professor. The speaker motivated the students to transform innovative ideas into startups. The Event report of Kalam’21 was presented by Mrs. S.Elakkiya Assistant Professor. Dr.B.Suchithra Dean-Events delivered the special address. The event ended with a vote of thanks by Mr.N.LakshmiNarayanan, Assistant Professor followed by National anthem. The Department thanks our Honorable President for his constant support and all Executives for their encouragement in organizing the event.  We also thank all the Department heads, Judges, faculty and student coordinators and finally all the participants for making this event a grand success
