Sir CV Raman journal club has organised RESEARCH MIRCHI – C01 to facilitate researchers to gain knowledge through informal discussion created in hot round table among the research experts. The event conducted on 20th September 2021 at 2:30 PM through offline and online mode. Dr. L. Ramesh, Joint Registrar (Events, Publications & Alumni) was the moderator and the research experts shared their views and suggestions for enhancing Sandhya. A, Assistant professor, department of biotechnology, coordinator of the event has initiated the program with short introduction regarding the event. Followed by welcome address by Dr. V Shankarram, Dean (journals & publications – Medical and Dental). Dr. D. Viswanathan- Rector (R&D) has given special address to the event. He has given valuable information regarding publications, streams of publications and their citations. which provides more information’s to all the participants. Dr. E. Kavitha, Deputy Dean (journals and publications) brief about the structure of Sir CV Raman journal club. It includes MGR Research Awards, Appreciation Circular, Reward policy,F2 events and M Collaborative Research Cluster.
The hot round table discussion was initiated by Dr. L. Ramesh with the research experts and they discussed about the journal’s plagiarism check and also about Scopus and web of science journals. They also explain their best practices they have followed. The discussion was concluded with publications made in fake journals, how to know whether the journal is fake or not. Later, the discussion was made open forum with participants, various participants made their doubts gets clarified. The session turned to be more informative and knowledgeable for the participants who have attended it. This discussion came to an end with vote of thanks given by Ms. Shanmugapriya, Assistant professor, department of biotechnology.
