The Department of Information Technology in association with the National Service Scheme (NSS) Wing conducted an Institutional Social Responsibility Event on 3rd September, 2021 between 11 a.m to 1 p.m. It was mainly for the Non-Teaching Staff Members to help them assist in conducting online classes.
The session started with an introduction by Ms. M.V.S.L. Tejasri followed by a formal welcome address by Prof. Dr. N. Kanya, HOD-IT. The felicitation address was given by Dr. N. Ethiraj, Dean (E&T) who explained about how the current pandemic has changed the whole education system, making it more digital. He also expressed the importance of all staff members being well-versed in the different LMS tools.
After that the first resource person, Mr. A. Kameshwaran was introduced formally by Mrs. C. Tamilselvi. Mr. Kameshwaran gave an elaborate session on using Google Classroom for sharing lessons and assignments, conducting live classes using Google Meet and scheduling using Google Calender.
The second session was handled by Dr. Dahlia Sam who was introduced by Mrs. S. Shobana. Dr. Dahlia explained in detail about using Google Forms to collect feedbacks and conducting quiz. She also gave a brief demo on conducting quiz using Nearpod.
Ms. R. S. Rashika delivered the vote of thanks to end the event. The webinar was streamed in YouTube and received many participants from all over the country and even from abroad.
